St William are progressing well with construction works at King’s Road Park. The concrete frame to the building which overlooks Michael Road, north of Imperial Square, is now complete.

As construction works continue, the buildings will be wrapped in white sheeting. This will allow us to commence building the façade and interiors.

Two of the tower cranes on-site used to construct Phase 1 of King’s Road Park have now been dismantled. The final crane will remain on-site until the New Year.

Construction to the basement will continue during the autumn. We do not anticipate perceptible odour or dust nuisance from these works. St William will continue to implement bestpractice mitigation to minimise the risk of disruption.

Apprenticeship roles will be available for Hammersmith & Fulham residents at King’s Road Park construction site this autumn.

The first phase of the park, known as Park South, will sit between the Grade II* Listed Gasholder No.2 and the buildings in Phase 1. The park features a large area of open lawn, play areas, seating and a water trail. Elements of Gasholder No.7 will be integrated into the park. These elements include the capital blocks, totems and roller wheels.

From late 2022, this new green space will be open to all local residents, and will provide new open space, along with new trees and native planting to support biodiversity and wildlife.

St William submitted the Park South planning application in July 2021 (LBHF planning ref. no. 2021/02303/RES).

St William submitted proposals for Blocks D1 and D2 to the Council’s planning department in July 2021 (LBHF planning ref. no. 2021/02533/RES). These two buildings will provide a total of 128 affordable homes, with commercial spaces being provided on the ground floor. The blocks will be delivered using an innovative modular construction approach, which reduces the length of time required on-site compared to traditional construction methods.

Block E1 at King’s Road Park fronts Michael Road and comprises 88 affordable rented homes. This block sits next to Phase 1, and will be complementary in design and height. This phase has been sensitively designed to keep within the maximum parameters set by the Fulham Gasworks planning permission.

Block E2 at King’s Road Park sits to the east of Block E1, and will provide 139 market homes. This building continues the design language of Phase 1 and Block E1, while also being sensitive to the Grade II* Listed gasholder opposite.

Blocks E1 and E2 keep within the maximum parameters set by the Fulham Gasworks planning permission.

St William will be submitting the Reserved Matters Application for these apartments in both Blocks E1 and E2 in autumn 2021.

Local residents will be provided with an opportunity to comment on the design proposals once the application has been submitted and validated by the Council.

Designed by renowned architects Studio Egret West, Block G of King’s Road Park sits at the northern end of the site, overlooking the public park and the Grade II* Listed Gasholder No.2.

This building will comprise approximately 225 new homes in private, intermediate and affordable rented tenure.

As with the other proposals across the site, Block G will adhere to the maximum parameters set by the Fulham Gasworks planning permission.

St William will be submitting the Reserved Matters Application for these homes in autumn 2021, with an opportunity for residents to comment when the application has been submitted and validated.
