Set around a beautiful new public park, King’s Road Park is the last regeneration site of its scale in the South Fulham Riverside Regeneration Area.

St William will deliver over 1,800 homes made up of suites, 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments and penthouses. The natural environment takes pride of place at King’s Road Park. A beautiful new public park is at the centre of the scheme, with additional green open spaces for the community to enjoy.

King’s Road Park will become a unique landscape-led neighbourhood underpinned by the St William vision to deliver beautiful landscape for the benefit of the wider community.

Gasholder No. 2 is a Grade II* Listed structure and is widely considered to be the world’s oldest surviving gasholder. Work has begun to remediate and restore the gasholder.

Construction specialist Keltbray, along with St William have commenced work on dewatering the gasholder. Keltbray will be carrying out appropriate environmental monitoring prior to and during any intrusive works to remove decades of untouched waste from Gasholder No. 2.

During these works, water from within the gasholder will be pumped out and processed via a Water Treatment System. This system removes any contaminants from the water which will subsequently be discharged to the sewer system. Once this is complete, cleaning and sludge removal will take place.

The sludge removed from the gasholder may present odours due to the nature of gasholders. Please be assured that this is normal and is in no way harmful to health. We will endeavour to restrict any smells from the gasholder by means of an odour suppressant.

Thank you once again for your patience and understanding during the construction process. These remediation works are a crucial step in restoring Gasholder No. 2 to become the centrepiece of the new public park.

We will be launching our first two bedroom two bathroom showhome in June which will be located next to the Sales and Marketing Suite on Sands End Lane. We will be working with our interior designer to support local businesses and craftsmen by sourcing many items locally.

We are producing a ‘behind the scenes’ film, which will capture our design vision. The film will be available by early summer.

The marketing suite roof will be finished with it’s biodiverse planting over the coming month. We aim to have bio-diverse roofs across the whole development as part of our sustainability initiative. Education is part of our vision. We work with schools to provide work placements and internships. Samuel Read is one of the many apprentices beginning a career in the industry and shares his experiences of working at King’s Road Park so far.

“I began my placement in the first week of October 2020, and arrived early in order to walk around the site before meeting with the team. People were instantly welcoming and took the time to introduce themselves and offer their assistance during my time on site.”

Samuel is on a 12-month placement with St William. Samuel’s year of experience with St William will allow him to work across multiple tasks, and by shadowing the surveyors, will help Samuel understand how the business operates, slowly building up to bigger responsibilities.

St William is also currently engaging with local students on virtual work experience with the West London College. They are gaining an understanding of how a development company works, including the many roles and opportunities available with us. Our work experience students have had the opportunity to engage with our Commercial, Technical, and Build teams. At the completion of our work experience course, these students will have a mock interview held with the Berkeley Group.
